Traffic & Construction Updates

The GO 10 project is coming to a close. By the end of August 2019, the punch list of final work items is expected to be completed. Closure announcements for the GO 10 project will no longer be posted here after August 30, 2019.

Short Term Closures

Sunland Park

Closure Duration: Overnight, Aug 29, 9 pm to 6 am the next day

Description: Sunland Park Drive traveling northbound in the direction toward the mountain – will close between Machuca Road and Paisano Drive (US 85).
Paisano Drive (US 85) in front of the auto dealerships – will close between Sunland Park Drive and Crockett Street. Note: Crockett Street access to Paisano Drive (US 85) will be open.
The westbound-to-eastbound turnaround bridge will close.

Westbound CD lanes near Resler

Closure Duration: Overnight, Thursday, Aug 22, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: The westbound CD lanes of I-10 will close between the Sunland Park entrance ramp (near the Resler flyover) and North Mesa Street (SH 20).
Note: Motorists will be able to travel westbound on the main lanes of I-10 and they will be able to exit at North Mesa Street (exit 11).

Westbound CD lanes near Resler

Closure Duration: Overnight, Friday, Aug 23, 9 pm to 6 am the next day

Description: The westbound CD lanes of I-10 will close between the Sunland Park entrance ramp (near the Resler flyover) and North Mesa Street (SH 20).
Note: Motorists will be able to travel westbound on the main lanes of I-10 and they will be able to exit at North Mesa Street (exit 11).

US 85 East connector ramps

Closure Duration: Daytime, Aug 20 and 21, 9 am to 2 pm each day

Description: The US 85 exit ramp from the eastbound CD lanes of I-10 will be closed. This ramp closure will require motorists to enter I-10 eastbound.
The US 85 exit ramp from the Sunland Park flyover ramp will be closed. This ramp closure will require motorists to enter I-10 eastbound.
Motorists who wish to access US 85 should use an alternate connecting route.

Sunland and Paisano

Closure Duration: Daytime, Aug. 12-16, 9 am to 4 pm each day

Description: The right lane on Sunland Park Drive – traveling in the direction toward the mountain - will close between Machuca Road and the westbound frontage road.
Paisano Drive (US 85) – in front of the auto dealerships – will close for a short distance starting at Sunland Park Drive.
The westbound-to-eastbound turnaround bridge will close.
Note: Crockett Street access to Paisano Drive (US 85) will be open.

I-10 West at mile marker 14

Closure Duration: Nightime, August 7, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: The right lane on I-10 West will close between mile marker 14 (approximately the Top Golf area) and the Sunland Park exit ramp (exit 13).
Note: The Sunland Park exit ramp will be accessible.

I-10 East at Mesa

Closure Duration: Daytime, Sunday, Aug. 11, 3 am to noon

Description: I-10 East will be reduced to one lane between North Mesa Street (exit 11) and approximately mile marker 14.
The North Mesa eastbound ramps will close.
The North Mesa westbound-to-eastbound turnaround lanes will close.
The eastbound CD lanes of I-10 will close completely at North Mesa Street (SH 20).
The Resler flyover ramp will close.
The Sunland Park flyover ramp will close.
The Sunland Park eastbound exit ramp from the main lanes of I-10 (near Resler) will close.

I-10 East at Buena Vista

Closure Duration: Daytime, Aug. 8 and 9, 9 am to 4 pm the next morning

Description: The eastbound CD lanes of I-10 will have a right lane closed at Buena Vista (mile marker 14).

I-10 West after Executive

Closure Duration: Overnight, Aug. 5, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: I-10 West will have a right lane closed between Executive Center Boulevard (exit 16) and Buena Vista (mile marker 14).

North Mesa and Sunland Park

Closure Duration: Daytime, Thursday, July 25, 9 am to 4 pm

Description: The right lane on North Mesa Street (SH 20) will close in both directions at the overpass between Osborne Drive and Bartlett Drive/Remcon Circle.
The right lane on Sunland Park Drive will close in both directions at the overpass between Machuca Road and the mall traffic signal lights.

Sunland Park

Closure Duration: Daytime, July 23 and 24, 9 am to 4 pm each day

Description: Both turnaround lanes at the I-10/ North Mesa Street (SH 20) interchange will close.

I-10 West at Sunland

Closure Duration: Overnight, July 23, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: The left lane on I-10 West will close between the Sunland Park Drive (exit 13) and North Mesa Street (exit 11).

Sunland Park

Closure Duration: Overnight, July 23, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: Sunland Park Drive in both directions will close at the I-10 overpass.

• In the direction traveling southbound toward Doniphan, Sunland Park Drive will close between the mall signalized intersection and Paisano Drive (US 85). The Sunland Park flyover ramp will be open. Detour: Motorists who wish to travel across the Sunland Park overpass should instead take the flyover ramp, then exit at Paisano Drive (US 85) East, then exit at Racetrack Drive, then turn right on Racetrack Drive, and another right on Doniphan Drive to get back to Sunland Park Drive.
• In the direction traveling northbound, toward the mountain, Sunland Park Drive will close between Machuca Drive and North Desert Boulevard. The right turn lane onto Paisano Drive will be open. Detour: Motorists who wish to travel across the Sunland Park overpass should instead follow Doniphan Drive to North Mesa Street (SH 20), then follow North Mesa to Sunland Park Drive.

Vehicles exiting at Sunland Park (exit 13) from I-10 West will be forced to turn right on Sunland Park Drive. No vehicles will be allowed to go straight through the signalized intersection at Sunland Park Drive.
The Sunland Park exit ramp (exit 13) from the main lanes of I-10 East (near Resler) will close. Detour: Motorists traveling on I-10 East should use an alternate exit ramp.
The eastbound CD lanes will be closed between North Mesa Street (SH 20) and Sunland Park Drive.
Both turnaround bridges at Sunland Park Drive will be closed.
The Resler flyover ramp to the I-10 eastbound CD lanes will be closed.

North Mesa Street

Closure Duration: Overnight, July 18, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: The Resler flyover entrance ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.
North Desert Boulevard and the southbound Mesa Street (SH 20) right turn lane will be closed at North Mesa Street (SH 20). All business driveways to North Desert Blvd will be closed. Motorists headed south on North Mesa Street (SH 20) – in the direction towards Doniphan Drive – will be able to continue through the intersection under the I-10 overpass. Detour: Westbound motorists to continue south on Mesa Street (SH 20) to Doniphan Drive (SH20), turn right to Redd Road and use the Redd Rd. entrance ramp to I-10 WB.
The eastbound-to-westbound turnaround at North Mesa Street (SH 20) will be closed.
Crews will be striping the westbound North Mesa entrance ramp.

Paisano Drive (US 85)

Closure Duration: Daytime, July 17 and July 18, 9 am to 4 pm each day

Description: The right lane on Paisano Drive (US 85) will be closed in front of the dealerships.

Sunland Park

Closure Duration: Nightly, July 16-17, 9 pm to 6 am each day

Description: I-10 Westbound Sunland Park Drive in the direction traveling southbound, toward Doniphan – will close completely between the Shopping Center/Mall signalized intersection and EBFR/Paisano Drive (US 85). The Sunland Park Flyover will remain open. Detour: Motorists should take the Sunland Park flyover ramp exit to Paisano Drive (US 85) eastbound, take the Racetrack Drive exit ramp, then take a right on Racetrack Drive, and another right on Doniphan Drive to get back onto Sunland Park Drive.
Sunland Park Drive all through lanes in the direction traveling northbound, toward the mountain – will be closed between Machuca Drive and North Desert Road. The right turn lane will be open. Detour: Motorists heading north through the Sunland Park intersection will take the Doniphan Drive to Mesa Street.
Vehicles exiting at Sunland Park (exit 13) from I-10 East will be forced to turn right on Sunland Park Drive. No vehicles will be allowed to go straight through the signalized intersection at Sunland Park Drive.
Vehicles exiting at Sunland Park (exit 13) from I-10 West will be forced to turn right on Sunland Park Drive. No vehicles will be allowed to go straight through the signalized intersection at Sunland Park Drive.
The westbound-to-eastbound turnaround bridge at the Sunland Park Drive overpass will close.
The eastbound-to-westbound turnaround bridge at the Sunland Park Drive overpass will close.
The Sunland Park exit (exit 13) from I-10 eastbound will be closed. Detour: Motorists driving east on I-10 will exit to Mesa Street (SH 20). Motorists driving to north Sunland Park Drive: turn left on North Mesa Street (SH 20), then follow North Mesa Street (SH 20) to Sunland Park Drive. Motorists traveling south to Sunland Park Drive: turn right on Mesa Street (SH 20) then turn left on Doniphan Drive to Sunland Park Drive.
The Resler flyover ramp to EBCD will be closed. Detour: Motorists driving south on Resler Drive who wish to access I-10 eastbound should take North Mesa Street (SH 20) to Sunland Park Drive, then take the Sunland Park flyover ramp to re-enter I-10 East.
The eastbound CD lanes will be closed at the North Mesa Street (SH 20) entrance ramp to eastbound I-10. Motorists will be able to access I-10 eastbound from the North Mesa entrance ramp. Detour: Eastbound I-10 motorists exiting to Sunland Park Drive will take the Mesa Street (SH 20) exit, turn right on Mesa Street and turn left on Doniphan Drive.
The westbound CD lane will have the right lane closed between the Sunland Park Drive overpass and Resler. The Resler exit ramp will be closed.
Crews will be working on sealing joints at the Sunland Park overpass and striping the roadway.

Mesa Street (SH 20)/I-10 Eastbound CD

Closure Duration: Daytime, July 16-17, 9 am to 4 pm each day

Description: The right turn lane will be closed from North Mesa Street (SH 20) to the eastbound I-10 CD lanes.
The right lane on the EBCD will be closed between Mesa and 77 Stone.

I-10 Westbound CD/Mesa Street (SH 20)

Closure Duration: Daytime, July 15-17, 9 am to 4 pm each day

Description: The westbound CD right turn lane to Mesa Street (SH 20) will be closed.

I-10 West at Executive

Closure Duration: Overnight, July 11, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: I-10 West will be reduced to one lane between the Executive Center overpass and the North Mesa overpass.
The Sunland Park exit ramp from the main lanes of I-10 West will close.
The Sunland Park entrance ramp to the main lanes of I-10 East will close.

North Desert

Closure Duration: Nightly, July 10 and July 11, 9 pm each night to 6 am each morning

Description: North Desert Boulevard will close between North Mesa Street (SH 20) and Thorn Avenue. Detour: Motorists should use an alternate entrance ramp, such as the Redd Road entrance ramp.
The North Mesa entrance ramp to the main lanes of I-10 West will close.
The eastbound-to-westbound turnaround lane at the I-10/North Mesa interchange will close.
The Sunland Park entrance ramp to the main lanes of I-10 West will close.
The North Mesa entrance ramp to the main lanes of I-10 East will close.

I-10 East at Mesa

Closure Duration: Overnight, July 10, 9 pm to 6 am the next morning

Description: I-10 East will be reduced to one lane between the North Mesa overpass and the Executive Center overpass.
The North Mesa entrance ramp to I-10 East will close.

Sunland Park
