Metropia, a highly anticipated traffic navigation app customized for El Paso drivers, has entered the piloting phase. On Feb. 25, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority, and the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization announced the app’s soft launch and invited 500 people to be pioneer users. The Metropia Pioneer Program gives creators a chance to improve and upgrade the app based on suggestions and feedback received from this user group.
There is still time to sign up as a pioneer user. Just download the app from the Apple Store or Play Store from your smart phone.
Metropia works by helping users choose the routes that are the least congested and determine the optimal times to get on the road. When users take the suggested routes, they earn points from local businesses that can be redeemed for gift cards or music downloads.
Incorporate Metropia into your daily routine, and be part of the solution.
